Lowie for a Summer at the French Riviera

Nautical prints and ice cream colours the theme for Lowie collection this Spring and Summer. Stripes and colours that remind me of that lovely film " Operation Petticoat", with high waisted trousers and shorts, cardigans with mini buttons and amazing tea dresses with navy style collars. Lowie's palette includes sea blues, sorbet pinks, navy blues and sand. Prints with little anchors and sailboats are very pretty and the cardigans complement perfectly every garment. Lowie has got a strong ethic commitment using organic cotton and recycled one, also trying to source the best eco friendly wool for the  winter collection. The production of knits  and crochet is made in small villages in China giving the opportunity with this job to keep family together without being forced to leave the village and look for a job in a big city. Vintage scarves and the customised caps are sourced  mostly in Great Britain, while hats, bags and purses are made in Turkey by a lovely couple that collaborates with the brand. Leather belts are made in a small workshop in India and everything from the leather to the buckles and other small trimmings are sourced in Delhi. Lowie as you can see really cares in having a fair trade production and trying to help the environment as much as it can by using vintage and end of line fabrics.
Among the stockists in Great Britain Liberty. Anthropologie in London, Opium in Truro Cornwall, McQueen in Manchester and many more, check them on its website: http://www.ilovelowie.com/
