Antonello Tedde Handbags Sample Sale

We like a sample sale and when I know of one I always share the news with my followers/readers/friends. Next week end from the 31st of May and the 2nd of June head to Kingly Court off Carnaby Street W1B 5PJ for the sample sale of Antonello eco conscious luxury handbags. All at up to 80% discount from RRP they are a bargain not to be missed. The picture above shows some of the handbags on sale during the days.

This gorgeous handbag with reed handles is made with organic cotton and dyed with natural colours extracted from plants grown in Sardinia. All the bags are handwoven on traditional looms, so every bag is a kind of one off because every single piece of fabric has been created and then hand stitched in a beautiful bag. The designs are from traditional Sardinia craftsmanship.

This is another example of what you can find at the sample sale. Amazing cotton clutch in ivory and black. Many colours are available on the day and models are different. I've got quite a few of those bags and they have always been admired by everyone for their originality and colours.

The bags are very roomy and only the best shops in the world are stocking them. United States, Japan (Wako the famous department store has dedicated a window to these bags), Europe are just some of the continents where it is possible to buy a bag like this. Portofino and Capri are among them and London has got stockists in Knightsbridge and King's Road. Check Antonello's website to learn the story behind these bags www.antonellotedde.co.uk  and come to Kingly Court for a chat and a bit of shopping. The designer will be on site to meet his clients and advise everyone on their purchases.

Kristian Aadnevik Autumn Winter 2013

A medieval setting with Gothic influences for Kristian Aadnevik collection for Autumn Winter at London Fashion Week. The Scandinavian designer invited his illustrious guests at the Royal Horseguards for an amazing show.
The setting is gorgeous, really in tune with the collection. The palette is black with splashes of vibrant blue. Fabrics range from silk, velvet, lace matched with leather and shearling. Studs and zips complement this dark yet romantic look.
This outfit is fantastic, I love the shearling sleeves and the zips of the jacket. The leather leggings are absolutely the staple for the next season.

The inspiration for this collection has been given by the horse and the power of this proud animal. The models walked with decision and strength while their pony tails were moving resembling a horse parade.

The beautiful horse print on this chiffon dress embodied the whole meaning of the collection, depicting the power of the animal and the light material for a romantic woman who is strong and not afraid to dare.

Backstage the gorgeous models from Elite Model Management pose with their amazing outfits after the end of the show. Seen from close distance the dresses show all their beauty and the details like beads and jewels.
It is the end of the evening. Kristian Aadnevik is having his picture taken with Pandemonia. For the last few seasons we've attended Kristian' shows delighted by the strong collections and amazing venues and after the show we've always went backstage in order to compliment ourselves with this fabulous designer. www.kristianaadnevik.com

Times Red Launch of Not Listening Single

We could not miss an afternoon with the Times Red being introduced to all the major press and music industry people at the Century House club in Shaftesbury Avenue. It has been a real pleasure to see them perform live after being in their company during London Fashion Week where they attended  front row seated some of the shows Stephen Mahoney and I organised during those days of fashion madness last February.
Handsome as always Staz Nair, Scott Ritchie and Luke White sung their latest single " Not Listening" which is gone to be out on the 24th of June, and they performed in a mini gig for the press and some lucky fans selected at random from the requests of their Facebook page. www.timesred.com
The song is very catchy and perfect for the summer season. Even if Times Red "order" you not to listen, please do. It is just one of those tunes that cheers you up for the rest of your day and don't be surprised if you are going to hum it while at work or while commuting. See you soon guys.

ACIQ Launch

The End of the Beginning defines ACIQ, a brand that is more a concept that just a fashion label. With the Autumn Winter 2013 collection out we are seeing the first chapter of a venture that will have several moments during the year. Art and fashion are entwined and the androgynous style will find many fans who can wear these garments giving them a new look and personality depending on the mood and the creativity of the wearer.
Nickque Patterson is one of the ACIQ team. His designs blend with the garments made by the other two members of this artistic and fashion orientated trio. Talking to Nickque I've learned of  future projects coming up with art very much involved in everything. www.aciq.co.uk
This beautiful Laum coat is a masterpiece. Made in wool, cashmere and with leather details it is one of those investments pieces that will never go out of fashion. The price is not bad either at £ 610 RRP.
The Laum Long Vest is made of wool and cotton blend with leather details. Very easy to match with anything like leggings or just  a top underneath if black is too much and you want to add some colour. All the pieces are very structured and architectural with sharp lines.
Jessica Chatterton is another member of  the ACIQ team. The launch of this label has been held at the Apartment 58 Club 101 New Oxford Street WC1A 1DB, a  members club for creative types . www.apartment58.co.uk
This is the Mis dress in cotton blend. Styled with the Laum long vest could be an idea if the wearer is not very bold. It could be worn layered with leggings and a top maybe in a bright colour or hot pants and theatrical bra for maximum effect to stand out in a club.

Vince Camuto Shop Opening Party

Probably not many British women know who Vince Camuto is but I'm sure that they've been wearing his shoes for ages because Vince Camuto has been the co founder of the footwear brand Nine West. With a brand partnership with Kurt Geiger, his  new label of beautiful shoes arrived in Great Britain with his first store in 133 Kensington High Street W8 6SU.
Vince Camuto designs clothing as well but for the moment British women can start to know his products stocking up with shoes and bags. The prices are very reasonable and the quality is excellent. Let's say that I've spotted quite a few things that I would like to add to my wardrobe. For now I went for a beautiful Horn Clutch bag in green fishskin leather. www.vincecamuto.co.uk

This is a nice parade of colourful court shoes. At the front and at the top the orange patent leather and red patent leather court Desti available as well in black both leather and patent, nude leather and patent and navy, yours for £ 95.00. The peep toe Kira in suede is available in pink, red and black as well  priced at £95.00. All insides of the shoes are padded so the comfort is extreme.
Under Vince Camuto's crest, DJ, model, artist and fashion blogger Bip Ling is spinning tracks at the deck. During the evening many friends came to say hello to this eclectic young lady who took the London fashion scene by storm and by Storm Model agency has been signed up and ready to star in a couple of big campaigns.
I love the Harty2 metallic leather court shoes. Available in gold and silver with a 4 inches heel, they are very comfortable. Perfect for any glam occasion included a Christmas party or a wedding, I can see them right with denim and a clutch, that you can always buy at Vince Camuto' store. These beauties are priced £ 95.00
Creative director and wife of Vince Camuto, former Miss Sweden and former first runner up for Miss Universe Louise Camuto is wearing a beautiful trouser suit and she is sporting the red leather Horn Clutch that I'm sure will be seen carried by quite a lot of celebrities. At £ 105.00 it can't be left in store and the choice of colours is huge.
The Varro peep toe patent leather wedges are perfect for the summer and the comfort of their padded soles will mean that there will be shoes to be worn all day long with no problems. Available in nude, red, black and navy, at £ 110.00 will match any outfit in your wardrobe.
Leah Wood was among the guests at the opening. Sipping a delicious cocktail the singer and model has been talking with the many guests who attended  the red carpet event with paparazzi flashing their bulbs outside the shop. Go and check this amazing shop, the colours, the styles and the prices will make you come and buy again and again.

Cosmetics A La Carte 40th Anniversary

Cosmetics A La Carte has been in every woman's make up bag for the last 40 years. A big achievement for an independent brand that worked only with its strengths and the high quality ingredients in  its products. For this important step, an exhibition has been organised at the Gallery in Redchurch Street in Shoreditch. www.alacartelondon.com
"Colour And Culture", curated by Ryan Lanji has been a great success with press and fashion people coming to the opening and the following visitors who came during the opening times of the exhibition to learn and know more of this luxury make up brand.
Cosmetics A La Carte can tailor a product to the customer's need so that at the end the make up is perfect for each individually skin tone. Despite the fact that on the market there are many variety of foundations or lipsticks or eye shadows, with Cosmetic A La Carte, as well as the finished products it is possible to work on creating a bespoke palette to match perfectly skin and products. It is worth a visit to the flagship store  in Knightsbridge at the 19b Motcomb Street SW1X 8LB.
Ryan Lanji has done a marvellous job with this exhibition, but we are not surprised. He is the man behind many fashion/art installations and shows, so putting him in charge of this event it has been the right choice.

This art work by Alex Noble is inspired by the Nude Toast Lipstick which was a favourite of the late Princess Diana.

Madeleine Lithvall is the artist who illustrated the history of Cosmetics A La Carte on the wall of the Gallery. Madeleine has got a rare talent and being still a student at the London College of Fashion she is moving up as an illustrator with important commissioned jobs on her CV already. Check her works at  http://mlithvall.tumblr.com/
This is another art work by Alex Noble inspired by Flush Blush and Bubblegum Lip gloss as seen worn by Lady Gaga during her interview at BBC Breakfast News. Cosmetics A La Carte have been used by the best make up artists for the most prestigious publications like Vogue, Marie Claire, Elle just to name a few and with a string of high profile celebrities using its products like Grace Jones or Debbie Harry or Danni Minogue as well as Princess Diana.

Cosmetics A La Carte holds great make up lessons. I find fantastic the Kick Start dedicated to 13 to 16  years old, in order to teach them simple skin care, tips and techniques and a make up that it 's right for that age. Other lessons I've found great are the Perfect Lips, where you can learn how to apply a lipstick in the right way and dare a bolder colour than the usual one, and the Eye Make up Mastery where the flick of the eye liner won't be a  secret any longer and learn how to achieve a fantastic smokey eye that it will put shame on Kate Moss.

Carnaby Street Shopping Party

It is not a surprise that I adore Carnaby Street and its vibe. I remember when the street was a row of souvenir shops and now is the home of many independent stores offering something unique not found on the high street, as well as some chains carefully selected in order to match the style of this trendy Soho street. So with great pleasure I went to their biannual Shopping Party event where shops are offering 20%  discount and on top of that there are freebies, drinks and nibbles to be enjoyed by the shoppers.
My first stop has been at the new Terry de Havilland pop up shop in the Newburgh Quarter. Terry is here with a Russian customer who just bought a pair of gorgeous wedges and she is wearing them in this very picture. These shoes under UV lights change colour, so they are perfect for a disco night.
On the day as well as giving a 20% discount on his shoes, Terry de Havilland signed a card for the customer to keep. A real treat for who is a shoe fan. Check the collection at www.tdhcouture.com

It was full house at the Trendy Talks with Fashion expert from Grazia Magazine Katherine Ormerod who is a loyal presence at this event. The rail was sporting items from Carnaby Street and the area in order to spot the current trends and use the opportunity to shop with a nice discount. I can see some Terry de Havilland wedges and brogues with a satchel from Dr Martens.
Make up artists from Benefit Cosmetics UK were giving a makeover to some lucky few chosen while shopping and scouted for their looks and outfits. Here they are ready to be photographed for the Istagram shoot.
At Dr. Martens two fabulous girls were customising with ribbons, fabric daisies, studs and other embellishments shoes bought on the day. This girl is having a bunch of daisies stuck to her shoes and maybe those sweet ribbon shoelaces.
I've entered the shop to take a picture and the girls noticed straightaway my Liberty printed Dr Martens so they made a pair of sparkly purple shoelaces which I still got on my shoes. Check the other fantastic designs at www.drmartens.com
Music was in almost any shop with DJs spinning rhythm. Here we are at Lee Jeans shop with two very stilish DJs clad in Lee Jeans denim. Music was pumping out from the shop inviting customers to go in and indulge in a bit of a shopping spree. After all carrying a shopping bag would have given the chance to win a limited edition goodie bag filled with lots of treats.
The shop Lambretta has always live acts outside the premises during this event and this time we enjoy music from The Last of The Troubadours who with their music gathered lots of people. It has been difficult for me to take a picture because really it was crowded. If you've missed them check them out at

Kurt Geiger Autumn Winter 2013 Collection

We are not enjoying our warm weather yet, but after looking at the Kurt Geiger Autumn Winter collection you'd wish it was colder again, and the shops would have already the new stock. As usual Kurt Geiger delivered a fantastic selection of highly desirable shoes for men and women.
This fiery pair of sandals are part of the "B" series where every model is identified by London streets' names starting from B. All made in Italy, these delectable pair of shoes have got names like " Buckingham"  in leopard print or the red stiletto "Britton" dedicated to the address in the East End, site of the Kurt Geiger design studio. This patent leather "Belgravia" sandals will be perfect for the Christmas party kermesse.
I simply adore these clutch bags. The yellow one has got shoes to match. The orange tiger printed in pony skin is my favourite and they are roomy enough to keep mobile, home keys, credit card and a lipstick. Great for a night out when you don't want to carry a big bag which you can leave at the cloakroom and have all your essentials in one of these beauties.

Bright colours and suede for the KG for Kurt Geiger series. The heels are not high meaning that these pair of shoes can be worn from day to night with comfort. The colours are perfect to jazz up any outfit. Remember, the password for next Autumn and Winter is " Colours" as seen on the catwalks.
Next season men will dare with these colourful brogues. Orange, snakeskin and brown or grey/blue. I honestly would wear them both, well loving colours I would give my preference to the three coloured one, but I'm sure that men will go for both. Despite the originality of the colours, this match will not be daunting for men.
Beautiful ankle boots in colours that will match the entire content of your wardrobe. Burgundy, grey and black leather, the softest ever for comfort and warmth. One of these three models are going to be everyone' staple shoes for the next season. All Kurt Geiger shoes are made in Italy with the best materials. Check the current collection and at the end of August for the new one on : www.kurtgeiger.com

Pre Cannes Festival 2013 Party

The sophisticated building that hosts N.5 Cavendish Square Club at the namesake address has seen a glam party in order to be ready for the Cannes Festival of Cinema in France due in the next couple of weeks. Organiser Paola Cecilia Berta pulled all the stops inviting an eclectic group of guests ranging from the cinema, fashion, press and beauty industries. Sponsored by the queen of the vodka "The Tall Blond", the evening has been an occasion to mingle with new talents and gurus of the aforementioned industries.
The first person I've seen entering the ballroom on the first floor has been celebrity journalist Zoe Griffin and we started talking about her latest book " Get Rich Blogging", a mine of precious advises for bloggers. Zoe was wearing a lovely peppermint coloured dress and she kept the name of the designer under wrap, maybe nurturing  a next fashion talent? www.livelikeavip.com
It has been said the green is the colour of the year. British born actress Nadia Ostacchini  embraces this palette  wearing a 1950s inspired dress by Coast. Nadia is always involved in theatre and TV productions and maybe some ads you've heard on TV and radio have been played by her.
Organiser of the event Paola Cecilia Berta is enjoying a shoulder massage provided by  Enhance London for the guests of the event. Ms Berta really needed some relax after all the hard work done in order to give an evening like this to everyone who attended. Sunita from Enhance is doing a really good job from the smile om Paola's face.
The mastermind of Enhance London is Carina  Reid who is stunning in her pink bespoke cocktail dress. Carina as well as being beautician to the celebrity pack, is a model, an actress and a singer as well. So many talents too little time for this eclectic lady. www.enhance-london.co.uk
A bright blue Topman  blazer singled out writer director and producer Sunny King.  His short film "Unspoken" has been screened on the night and has left the viewers very moved for the story told. I've found it beautiful. Check it out on www.oakmanfilm.com
Gentiane Piovanacci is the founder and Chief editor of the magazine " Mamarazzi". The magazine is distributed in Marseille in France but some extracts can be read (in French) on www.mamarazzi.fr
Gentiane is wearing a lace dress by French designer Jacqueline Riu, being a sponsor for the Pre Cannes Festival Party Gentiane is posing at the branding board pointing at the logo of her magazine.
