Tumi in Regent Street

Regent Street had quite few openings in the past weeks. The most recent has been the Tumi store, the American brand of leather goods and luggage that opened less than a month ago at 211-213 Regent Street London W1B 4NF. A launch party has welcomed guests with fantastic music, drinks and canapes while browsing the extensive range of Tumi 's collections from small leather goods, handbags, holdalls and suitcases in all the sizes and colours.
This impressive golden suitcase is in the shop window in order to remind everyone of a fabulous competition to celebrate the opening of this flagship store. Check online at www.tumigoldenticket.com  there is still time until the 31st of May to enter the competition. The prize is a luxury trip of a lifetime. look for the golden suitcases, take a picture and post it on social networks with the tag #TumiGoldenTicket.
The DJ is spinning classic disco music at the deck surrounded by the suitcases which are a famous staple at Tumi. Colourful, strong and light at the same time. The shop on two floors has got so much space to show properly every single item.
This gentleman is Stefan Schweizer the Vice President for the Tumi company in Europe, Middle East and Africa. Here  he is with one of his collaborators showing a dog holder which is a collaboration between Tumi and Cloud 7. As you can see the brand caters for everyone included our small pets.
These colours are fantastic, these small leather goods are perfect to hold pens or make up or a mobile charger for example and it is possible to have most of the items embossed in store while you wait for a personal touch.
This is a portable bar with all the tools to deliver a perfect cocktail, obviously the bottles are not included. Now looking at this item I can only think of James Bond, after a chase in the snow, he is carrying this kind of rucksack while skiing and shooting a baddie or two and at the end of the slope, his woman is awaiting for him and what he does? He opens the case and mixes a Martini, shaken or stirred ? Broccoli Production take note of this idea.
George Esquivel, the Creative Director of Tumi was in attendance at the store launch from New York and he greeted all the guests and he exchanged few words with everyone. George Esquivel creativity is all over the place with the shelves displaying his finished products that are so appealing all over the world.
These gorgeous bags are from the Santa Monica collection. The leather is great and the colours chosen make these bags something to use everyday. I love the orange or the red one. The size is perfect to carry around all we need during a busy day.
Next time you go to the Tumi flagship store for a gift, even for yourself, ask for the embossing service. This iPad cover is being embossed with my initials and you can have the letters just embossed on leather or using coloured leaves to match or to contrast the colour of your purchase. Check online at www.tumi.com for your favourite accessorise and then head to Regent Street for some serious shopping.
