Preview AW17: Light Scarves

It is a habit of mine, I always carry a silk scarf or light cotton scarf during the warmer months because you never know when a gust of wind might come, giving you a nice sore throat. Also, a light scarf can be an impromptu headband or light shawl. Here you can find some of my favourites.
*In Store* Twilly scarfs are very popular right now. These twilly scarfs by Hermes are gorgeous and I must admit they are quite affordable given the label they are coming from. The choice is quite extensive and they come in a classic orange box shaped like a heart. This is what I call a fantastic Christmas gift as well. www.uk.hermes.com
*Not Yet* A floral scarf is a classic but when Biba is involved, classic  gets a twist. I have seen the new patterns for the AW17 collection at House of Fraser and this scarf  is great. I like to knot a scarf to my bag as well, always handy. Check online or in store for when  it will be available.

*In Store* At Joules you can find several styles among the scarves  available. From Neckerchief to wool to silk scarfs or polyester. There is a scarf for any budget. The Wensley one comes in several prints. I've picked the mustard one with a floral pattern and it is perfect for the first low temperatures or when late in the evening and you need something to cover your neck from that treacherous gust of wind. www.joules.com
*In Store* You can loose yourself at Liberty's scarfs department. Its beautiful prints are recognised all over the world. The Florence silk scarf has got a gorgeous paisley pattern in a rich red colour. Buy it for yourself as a "welcome back to work" present after your holidays or suggest  it as a Christmas present to yourself. Everyone needs a classic accessory in her wardrobe, something that spells sophistication and timeless elegance. www.libertylondon.com
*Not Yet*  We know Lola Rose for its beautiful jewellery, but recently they've introduced these gorgeous skinny scarfs in silk, printed with gemstones patterns. These two twillies are inspired by Lapislazuli and Malachite semi precious stones and they are not yet available. At the moment online you can find scarfs with agate, moonstone, labradorite and aquamarine patterns.  www.lolarose.co.uk
*Not Yet*  Neckerchiefs are becoming more and more popular, not just around your neck but as a bracelet or to tie a pony tail. These two scarfs are by M&S Collection for Marks & Spencer, that for this season has come out with a great selection of scarfs in many colours and patterns. Check the stores and the website frequently because you will find a print you will love. www.marksandspencer.com
*In Store* I love museums' shops. I can find things that I don't find anywhere else and also, buying in a museum' shop I help in keeping our museums free for all. This amazing scarf is available at the National Gallery, inspired by the just ended exhibition "Michelangelo & Sebastiano". Made of poly chiffon blend in a bright blue, it will add a splash of colour to any outfit. www.nationalgallery.co.uk
*Not Yet* I like skinny scarfs and these by Sister Loves are among the best I've seen. This collection is called "Cities of the World" and as well as twillies you can have large scarfs or square ones in silk, silk and wool, Georgette and crepe de chine. The background is monochrome with just a single flash of colour for each city. Tattoo artist Vera Kerundi has collaborated with Sister Loves and the cities featured are London, New York, Paris and Tokyo. Check online frequently because these beauties will be available in Autumn. www.sisterloves.com
